Embracing Change and Celebrating Resilience: Join Us at the 2025 Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt!

Maypole Dance, 2022

In the past year, our local Pagan community has experienced significant transformations that reflect the symbolism of the Tower card in Tarot—indicating sudden change and upheaval. We've faced challenges, like hurricanes impacting the Gulf South, that tested our resilience. And it has often led to stronger bonds within our communities. It's because of this tribal connection that I'm optimistic about the future of the Gulf South Pagan Community. In this spirit, I warmly invite you to experience the Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt this year.

A New Home

I am excited to host the Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt in a breathtaking long-leaf pine savannah at the southern edge of the DeSoto National Forest. This beautiful space, affectionately known as "The Burrow," is managed by the All You Need Institute, an organization dedicated to conservation efforts in our natural surroundings. By gathering in these woods, we will deepen our connections to nature and each other, embraced by the forest.

Mark Your Calendars!

The Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt is scheduled for Friday, May 2 - Sunday, May 4, 2025. This is your invitation to gather in celebration, reverence, and community spirit for the Pagan sabbat of Beltane. Make sure to mark these important dates on your calendar and prepare for an experience filled with rituals, connection, and joy!

Tickets and Accommodations

Tickets are now available! I encourage you to book early, as we are limiting ticket sales this year, and Early Bird tickets end on March 21st (HAPPY OSTARA)! Accommodations are offered on-site (but are limited). Whether you prefer leaving your worries behind while camping on the edge of the pond or enjoying a more established/air-conditioned setting, your choice of lodging will enhance your experience at the event.

A Commitment to Conservation

The All You Need Institute’s dedication to conservation has inspired event guidelines similar to those at Burning Man and other eco-conscious events. The focus on the "Leave No Trace" camping principle emphasizes our shared responsibility to protect the environment. In 2022, over 80% of participants in these gatherings reported a greater awareness of environmental issues. Together, we can ensure that we show respect for our hosts, the Gods, and the ecology of this new space.

A Welcoming and Inclusive Event

In these challenging times, I want to know our community members feel safe/included at these events. I acknowledge that many within the trans community—and other marginalized groups—have felt disconnected and displaced in our Pagan community, in addition to facing other obstacles. To ensure a welcoming space for all, a limited number of discounted tickets are specifically reserved for BIPOC and trans community members. You're invited to join us and experience the warmth of a community that values inclusion and respect.

A Collaborative Spirit

This year's event emphasizes community collaboration leading up to and during Beltane, including a live Zoom stream and Q&A with myself , other partners in community, and the owners of The Burrow, Jordan Bantuelle and Kezia Vida (date is TBA). I invite all attendees to explore the "Make or Take" list available on our website, where you'll find opportunities to contribute to our gathering's collective success. I also hope you'll consider creating a "Serendipity Station" to allow participants to share their creative talents, crafts, or resources, fostering a sense of togetherness and creativity.

Vendors Welcome!

If you love to craft things or provide a service to other attendees, you're warmly encouraged to be a vendor with us! Just check the website for vending opportunities, as there are a limited number available. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your creations and connect with like-minded individuals in a new and vibrant market atmosphere.

Volunteer Opportunities

For those who wish to help out and engage while enjoying the event, there are 11 volunteer opportunities available (two have already been taken). By contributing your time, you will help facilitate the magic of the Beltane Hunt. As a token of our appreciation, all volunteers will receive free admission to the event, plus a little "lagniappe." This is a wonderful way to connect and contribute to the success of our gathering.

More Updates to Come

There will be many more updates as the event develops (details about serendipity stations, food, our new location, THE BELTANE HUNT AND GREAT RITE, and more). I hope you've subscribed to the WFBH website. I will add activities as they come, and post about volunteer positions that are still available. Don't forget that EARLY BIRD TICKET SALES END MARCH 21ST AND TICKETS AND ACCOMMODATIONS ARE LIMITED. You can visit the website at www.wyldfirehunt.com to learn more about the event, volunteering, collaborating, or getting tickets.

In optimism and community,
